Assistant Engineer (Assembly)

 JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Woodlands.
  • Preferably Junior Executives specializing in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive, Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, jigs and fixture design, FMEA, CAD, SPC as well as experience in machine design are advantageous.
  • Strong Project Management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Willing to travel occasionally.
 
Job scope:
 
Responsible for assembly, debug and test run for customised modular machine including commissioning.
Provide on-site technical support at customer's premise for equipment operation.
Perform design modifications through: simplified design, reduced parts, using cheaper alternatives while maintaining and enhancing performance of products.
Procure or assist in procurement of required items for above function.
Writing and maintainance of all necessary documentation, work and assembly instructions, manufacturing and test procedures.
