Service Engineer / Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
1) Service Engineer
Job Scope:
- Requires hands-on involvement in the commission, service, repair and troubleshoot works of all equipment/system undertaken, constantly maintain a high level of work quality and standards to meet customers’ requirements and company’s KPI. This requisite requires an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Electrical, Instrumentation and Mechanical processes in related industries in order to carry out the service works assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Perform service duties assigned including ad-hoc works.
- Hands-on duties involve commission, service and repair & troubleshoot equipment/system at workshop or on sites, for pump systems (Booster/transfer/ejector/divertor/drainage).
- Liaise with customers on service activities ensuring all works are carried out on time and to customers’ satisfaction.
- Prepare coherent service on condition of equipment, advising on recommendation and follow-up actions.
- Manage and maintain records of service activities.
- Lead and coordinate with records of service activities and operation.
- Provide after sales technical support services to help customers to optimize their business with the right solutions.
- Manage and maintain a high-level long-term business relationship with existing customer and develop new business opportunities to expand the aftermarket sales & service in systems maintenance, retrofit, repair and spare parts business.
- Work closely with AMS Manager to improve work flows/processes to increase productivity.
- Promote aftermarket service for collaboration with new business partners.
- Play a part in maintaining the workshop in an environmentally safe and organized manner & ensure equipment & tools are well maintained.
- Actively participate in compliance with QA and EHS requirement to promote a safe working environment.
- May be requested to work overtime on weekdays or over weekends in order to achieve deliveries to customers.
- Other duties as required/determined to assist the functionality of the department.
Requirements:
- Nitec/Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Service Technician in related industries/environment.
- Able to troubleshoot electrical starter & control panel and the ability to read simple electrical & hydraulic schematics drawings, PLC knowledge will be an advantage.
- Hands-on experience with service and troubleshoot of Caterpillar/Perkins/Volvo diesel engine would be an advantage.
- Able to lead service technicians to perform duties as required.
- Customer focus, results orientated, excellent communication and good team player.
- Self confident, self motivated with intrinsic drive to work independently.
- Able to work overtime on weekdays, weekends/or public holidays.
- Able to travel on overseas assignments tasked by the company.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications.
- Preferably with Class 3 driving license with good driving record.

- Salary: $3,000 - $4,000 + Shift Allowance & OT
2) Service Techncian
Job Scope:
- Requires hands-on involvement in the service and repair work for all equipment to meet customers’ requirements, maintaining proper records for filings of reports and data entry.
- Requires an understanding of Electrical and Mechanical process and product knowledge in order to carry out service and repair works.
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on duties to maintain and repair equipment within workshop or on sites.
- Experience in pump and plumbing systems (Booster, ejector, sump, submersible and end-suction).
- Provide timely and accurate advice and support to staff on workshop and product related issues, both verbally and in writing where required.
- Able to troubleshoot electrical starter & control panel and the ability to read simple electrical & hydraulic schematics drawings.
- Able to write coherent reports on condition of equipment or site, advising on recommendations and follow-up actions.
- Carry out necessary service and emergency work on pumping and associated equipment at customers’ premised or sites including entry to confined space to retrieve equipment and conduct repair where required.
- Play a part in maintaining the workshop in an environmentally safe and organized manner & ensure equipment & tools are well maintained.
- Actively participate in compliance with QA and EHS requirement to promote a safe working environment.
- May be requested to work overtime on weekdays or over weekends in order to achieve deliveries to customers.
- Other duties as required/determined to assist the functionality of the department.
Requirements:
- Possess Nitec in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or ‘O’ Level
- At least 2 to 3 years experience as an M&E Technician, preferably in a pump or engineering environment.
- Able to work overtime on weekdays or weekends
- Good team player
- Enjoy working in fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Preferably with driving license

- 5 days work week with shifts
- Salary: $2,200 - $2,500 + Shift Allowance & OT
